Color Palette from Image
A color palette from an image is the set of dominant colours in that picture. After the file decodes, up to eight swatches appear first. Copy them as CSS variables, a Tailwind snippet, or JSON. The image is processed in your browser and is not uploaded. The tool is free and needs no account.
Upload a picture and the dominant colors appear first. Click any swatch to inspect that color, or copy the whole palette.
How to use it
- Upload the picture whose colors you want.
- Read the row of dominant swatches above the single-pixel values.
- Copy the palette as CSS variables, a Tailwind theme snippet, or JSON.
Questions
How do I get a color palette from an image?
Upload the image. After it decodes, the dominant colors are shown as swatches. That extraction uses ColorThief in your browser.
How many colors are extracted?
Up to eight dominant colors. The exact set depends on the picture.
Can I export the palette?
Yes. Copy CSS custom properties, a Tailwind theme.extend.colors snippet, or a JSON list of the hex values.
Can I still read one pixel?
Yes. Click the image or a swatch. HEX, RGB, HSL, CMYK, and OKLCH stay under the palette.
